R&D Software Engineer / Canada

M-Files is looking for a highly skilled individual to join our R&D team. As an M-Files Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing software according to M-Files product development process and practices. The Software Engineer will have working knowledge of the software life cycle and software design.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in sprint planning and review meetings.
  • Plan and refine user story descriptions by creating necessary tasks.
  • Code Design, Development and Unit Testing (with automated coverage).

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Knowledge of M-Files Product and target environments.
  • Knowledge of Scrum.
  • Experience in target environments like Windows, Windows Azure, iOS, Android and Web browsers.
  • Experience and working knowledge of databases, preferably MS SQL Server.
  • Scripting and programming skills in .Net framework, JavaScript, VBScript, C++, C#, SQL. (Java and Python a plus).
  • Experience with Visual Studio, Git, and SVN.
  • Proven ability to communicate ideas, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen to customers and translate their needs into specific actions and solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team setting.
  • Ability to drive projects to completion and manage obstacles.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Aptitude and enthusiasm for learning new methods and techniques.
  • Experience working with document/content management systems a plus.

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science related field.
