Job Description and Responsibilities:

M-Files project managers are responsible for working with the consultants, partners and sales team to deliver M-Files implementation projects. Project managers and consultants are also responsible for delivering M-Files solutions to customers within agreed timeframes and budgets. This position reports to the UK Consulting Unit Manager and requires a self-starter with a proven blend of organizational, presentation, writing and technical skills based on previous experience. You will need to become an expert in the M-Files software and have an outgoing personality that will enable you to relate to customers, understand their needs and determine how M-Files will benefit their business. The position is located in the UK, ideally in the south east of the country.


Your primary day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Participating in the pre-sales process by reviewing customer requirements and providing accurate delivery estimates to the sales team.
  • Some working with hybrid teams of internal, off shore staff and partner consultants.
  • Participating in or leading requirements and discovery workshops while documenting the agreed solution, deliverables and timeframes within a project plan to be signed-off by the customer.
  • Leading project status meetings with the customer to review progress and budgets, discuss and agree change requests, and communicate and resolve issues.
  • Producing timesheets, expense and status reports for internal use.
  • Invoicing T&M, milestones and rechargeable expenses.
  • Supporting Agile project delivery, creating and maintaining project documentation.
  • Supporting multiple concurrent projects at different stages and varying scale.
  • Identifying and communicating up-sell and cross-sell opportunities at customers to the sales team.

Role Requirements:

  • A BS degree in related field, computer science, engineering or other technical field as bonus.
  • 4+ years experience as a project manager.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and requires minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to communicate ideas with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to listen to customer needs and translate into specific actions and solutions.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with a high regard for quality and consistency of communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively with multiple levels of management.
  • A good understanding of application servers, networks, operating systems, technical platforms/architecture etc would be a bonus.
  • Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile and other project delivery methodologies
  • Solid knowledge of document management and enterprise content management technologies.
  • Ability to travel within the UK up to 75% of the time.
