Senior Technical Consultant / United States

As a Senior Technical Consultant, you are a key part of the Consulting Services team and will play a critical role in driving our success. You will be expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the M-Files software product offering and ancillary components.  You will act as a technical leader on project teams and will need to work with other members of your project team to develop and deploy solutions on a varying number of Customer engagements.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with other M-Files' Professional Services team members on new and ongoing customer implementations
• Support all aspects of the deployment lifecycle
• Assist with requirements gathering, solution design, development, deployment, migration, QA, UAT, and other consulting related engagements
• Perform M-Files system implementations
• Help customer identify and clarify their needs
• Integrate M-Files with existing data sources
• Conduct custom customer training and provide consultation on design best practice
• Identify and implement any custom scripting or application development which might be needed for a customer implementation, working with developer resourcing where necessary to ensure customer expectations are met
• Mentor and lead more junior members of the consulting unit
• Support pre-sales efforts to design deployment solutions including level of effort (LoE) estimation and other required sales support activities
• Assist in requirements review, solution design and documentation
• Ensure deployments exceed customer expectations for quality and reliability
• Work closely with M-Files Project Management to ensure timelines and technical aspects of a deployments are met

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years corporate services consulting experience, from either a management consulting firm, boutique consulting firm or a software firm with a services practice
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science related field preferred or relevant comparable work experience
• Highly motivated self-starter, willing to travel (up to 25%) **Note: Covid environment qualifier
• Proven ability to communicate ideas, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen to customers and translate their needs into specific actions and solutions
• Ability to drive projects to completion and manage obstacles
• Excellent organizational skills, experienced at successfully multi-tasking and supporting multiple concurrent customer engagements
• Aptitude and enthusiasm for learning new methods and techniques
• Strong knowledge of Windows-based environments, IIS and MS SQL Server
• Knowledge of Cloud-based technologies, inclusive of Azure preferred yet not required
• Experience and strong understanding of Data Migration best practices and methodologies
• Working knowledge of networks
• Experience and working knowledge of databases and query building
• Experience working in a Consulting environment working directly with customers is required
• Experience and working knowledge of .NET languages (e.g. VB, C#)
• Experience working with document/content management systems is preferred
• Knowledge of Data Structures and core Programming concepts
• Knowledge of Solution Architecture and Cross Application Communication and Integration methodologies
• Experience deploying solutions to customer, managing project timelines and scope
• Approaches engagements with energy and enthusiasm
• Self-confident and able to engage and manage customer engagements effectively
• Experience creating Technical Documentation (Solution Descriptions, UML Diagrams, etc.)
• Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
